I can't help myself. $16 for 287 miles of driving makes me happy.
And that's on a week where my mpg's cratered because of all the snow.

It can usually get 37-40 mpg. I'm enjoying that. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking "hmm, I bet I could afford the gas for a 4x4 pickup truck!" I am American, after all.

Ehh I'm American and I have no want for a truck. Prices will go back up eventually & I'll know is that I didn't know gas pumps stop at $100. That is until I borrowed my mothers truck and filled it up.
Having to reinsert your card to continue putting gas in, is a sad, sad time.

I love pickup trucks. They're a blast, in a totally different way than cars. My parents have an old F-150 that gets 14 mpg that I would buy from them immediately if they told me they wanted to sell it. It's filthy, it smells, and I would drive it every day.

These prices make me wonder if it's time to realize my dream of driving a V10 Excursion.

The one time I drove an Excursion I instantly hated it. The Suburban, on the other hand, drives great. I still would rather have a pickup. Maybe an old V10 Ram (the non-SRT one).

Yeah, I guess you just normalize to it. If milk was $10/gallon, I'd probably still buy it and drink it. Probably would be a bit more pissed if it went sour, though...

Hehe, yeah.. well, some things are VERY expensive in Norway, and some things are rather cheap. I just bought a new 15.6" Laptop with 8GB Ram, 1TB harddrive, bluetooth 4.0 and shit for $260... Sure it's just got a dual core 2.2Ghz cpu and intel graphics.. but still.
